How long did you/will you rear face??

My son I rear faced until he was like 9 months :( I know I know BAD MOMMY!! But I had no clue about extended rear facing and he met the height and weight requirements..
But my daughter will be turned around at 2 years old.. She is currently 11 months right now..

  • ohh man I can't imagine rear facing until two! My twin boys are MONSTERS theyre HUGE lol I think they would break through into the trunk if I tried that. I waited until they were one and 22 pounds. Taden is just a bit over 22 pounds but hes tall.

  • I put my daughter in a front facing car seat as soon as her legs were being squashed by the seat. I think she was about 9 months old.

  • both my girls until 12 months. Guess i've never heard of it either.... I think it'd be hard to keep a child that age in a seat for very long if all they have to look at is the seat of your car... but i could be wrong :)

  • My Son started riding forward-facing at 15 months old, and He was about 22lbs by then. I waited a little longer than the 1 year/20lbs requirement just to be on the safer side. Had I know about ERF..I would have waited until He was 2 before facing Him forward.

  • You guys know that a baby MUST, by LAW, rear face until they are at least 1 year, right? Have you seen the videos of what happens to babies when they are forward facing too soon?
DS was rear facing until his knees were in his ears.
