  • Ask your doctor how much she should be having. I know my boys never took more than 4 ounces at a time. I'm pretty sure my daughter was downing a full 8 ounces by then. They were probably having 2 jars of baby food a day. This is just a foggy memory though.

  • My 7 month old is nursing so I cannot tell you how much he's getting, but he does nurse about 3-4 times during the day. I feed him jar foods throughout the day (I have him at stage three now since I introduced solids at 3 months) so I feed him a fruit with a cereal in the morning, a veggie with a grain for lunch and a meat or pasta for dinner. He breastfeeds between those times. I also just started him on a sippie cup so I give him a little juice (only use 100% juice!) with a little oatmeal cereal before bed, then nurse him after that.

    Hope this helps! =)

  • My children both nursed 10-12 times a day from anywhere 5-20 minutes at a time.

They would eat a couple of table spoons cereal and maybe half a jar of food at lunch and the other half at dinner. We delayed solids until 6 months so they weren't having to much at that point. Plus neither of my children were really big on solids until they were about 12-13 months old.

  • Autumn, they probubly thumb downed you for saying you started foods at 3 months, for giving juice, and for giving cereal..lol..Those are 3 things on here alot of the women hate :)
To the poster, my son had 4 6oz (it didnt seem like enough but my pedi said it was fine cause thats all he would eat. Food or no food) bottles a day at 7 months. He refused to eat baby food so he was eating soft table foods. I gave him breakfast, lunch and dinner and he would also nibble at snacks here and there.. Hope this helps :)
