  • It really depends on the child. I think generally, a 4T is for an average 4 yr old. My 4 yr old still wears 18 & 24 mos (she was a 23 week preemie), so you can't always go by age.

  • My girls were 4 years old. But it all depends on each child.

  • 4 1/2 or 5 year old. My Son just turned 4 & wears 3T pants & tops. He weighs 32 pounds.

  • Really tough to answer could be anywhere from a hefty 2 year old to a very skinny 5 year old. The average I would say is 3 or 4. Always best to ask to parents or someones who knows the child. My son is 51/2 and he wears boys size small shirts and toddler 4T pants. You just never know.

  • It depends on the size of the child really, my son is four and doesnt fit into any 4T clothes , he isnt overweight but he isnt scrawny, I buy him the Husky brand which they sell at JCPenny , it varies really I dont always go by age group.

  • My son wears 4T and hes 2 1/2.. I guess it depends on the height and weight of the child.. My son is tall & lean, but 4T fits him well.

  • My kids always wore the size that corresponded with their age so they were 4 when they wore a 4T.
