FINANCIAL AID??????

My husband is planning on starting Fire School in January but were waiting on word from the financial aid lady at his school...he is the only one working and we also have 2 kids...what is everyone's opinion on how much help we will get?

  • It will depend on your income, savings, whether or not you are also going to school, whether or not he goes full time or part time etc.

    The max you can get for Pell grants is $5500 a year, but you have to be pretty low income to get that.

  • he doesnt qualify for the pell grant bc fire school doesnt have the max amount of hours its required

  • Well, really none of us can even wager a guess. Financial aid is determined by yearly salary, how much you have in the bank, ect.

  • If he doesnt qualify for the pell grant then NONE of us can estimate that for you...your financial aid will be based upon your family need and cost of attendance! Your best bet would be to call the school. They might only cover the cost of attendance!?
