  • If he's able to but just seems afraid, it's simply a confidence issue that will go away with time. My ds went through the same thing, he started *officially* walking at 16 months. You could get him a couple of push toys that he can walk with and see if that helps.

  • The day after his first birthday. My friends son didn't walk until he was 17 months old.
He's still within the normal range. He'll walk when he's ready. If you're nervous though, you can talk to his doctor.

  • all 4 of mine pretty much start walking by their 1st bday..my advice would b just to let him continue to walk round with no shoes..most kids imitate their siblings..if he sees his siblings doin it he would..but if he has none..then he mite need to be round other toddlers in order to imitate them..also call his pedi an express ur concerns..

  • The day before her first birthday. Getting her a push walker thing is great! And also, do you freak out whenever he falls? If you do, he might be scared because of your reaction. He will walk soon, just praise him a lot. Also, you could try "Walking Wings". Its a walking assistant for baby. You hold handles, while he is in a harness. get hom one and take him to the park or gardens. He will be so wrapped up in all the cool stuff, he may just take off himself.

  • AND my baby didnt even show interest in walking until 10 1/2 months, when she saw her cousin walking around. PP is right, take him to the park where he can see other kids.
