  • Ok...are you asking if your sister can get custody of her exs kids if she has a misdemenor on her record? It's child related so probably not. Because if anything happened to the kids the county would be held liable. Big time.

  • You will hear horror stories, but I know tons of wonderful foster parents, who are trained and specialize in these sorts of things. CPS can be messed up, but we can 't forget it's main purpose. To protect the kids. This may be what the boys need.

  • this is hard...i would not say that they won't but it will take allot of work. I know here they ask the indiv. whom is charged to write a reason as to why this charge is against her etc...depends on the reason and her side of the story etc.

  • Anything is possible and to be honest it will depend on how many foster parents they have waiting. IMO, the father of these children needs to get them, even if it means that she can't have them. His children have to come before her, that's should be an understanding between any people who get married when one or both already have children.

  • Uhh if your sister wasn't watching her kid and her kid got burned, why on earth would ANYONE give her another child or children to possibly harm?

  • It is hard saying, but probably not. However, I do know of a family that was found "guilty" but not charged of a child being abused in their home, and then they were able to a private adoption. So, it is possible, but not likely. Maybe another family member could take the kids, so they don't go into foster care.

  • If she has any kind of child abuse charges, she won't be able to adopt.
