how do you make your home made mac and cheese?

  • Boil the macaroni unil el dente
    Start with a rue (4 tablespoons of butter melted and then the same about of flour wisked in)
    Then I add 2 cups of milk (whatever kind you prefer)
    You wait for that to boil and get thick (enough to stick to the wisk)
    Then slowly add a desired about of grated cheese (I used about 1/2 of a small brick of cheese)
    Then pour this over the pasta and bake in the oven for about 45 mins.
    (This is for about a pound of mac and cheese)

  • Boil the noodles, shred the cheese. Preheat oven to 375. Spray baking dish with cooking spray. Layer with noodles, then cheese, more noodles, more cheese...stop with top of cheese. Take an egg and scramble it in to a cup of milk. Pour over the cheese.
    Bake for 30 to 45 minutes until nice and golden.

  • 1 lb elbow macaroni - cooked
    16 oz. grated chedder cheese
    little milk in dutch over - stir in cooked macaroni - grated cheese - 1/2 stick butter or marg.
    stir all together until well mixed
    pour into 9 x 13 baking pan (butter sprayed or buttered bottom and sides)
    cover with seasoned bread crumbs and dribble milk on top -cover with aluminum foil - baked in preheated oven 350 degrees
    until bubbly - take aluminum foil off so bread crumbs can get crispy serve - yummylicious

  • All Day Macaroni and Cheese

    8 ounces elbow macaroni
    4 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
    1 1/2 cups milk
    2 eggs
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

    In a large pot, cook the macaroni in boiling
    water 10 minutes, or until al dente, and drain.

    In a large bowl, mix the cooked macaroni,
    3 cups of the sharp Cheddar cheese, evaporated
    milk, milk, eggs, salt, and pepper.

    Transfer to a slow cooker that has been coated
    with non-stick cooking spray.

    Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of shredded
    sharp Cheddar cheese.

    Cover, and cook on Low for 5 to 6 hours, or until
    the mixture is firm and golden around the edges.

    Do not remove the cover or stir the mixture until
    the mixture has finished cooking.

    Serve warm.

  • Boil elbow noodles until almost done. I melt butter and flour together, add milk and shredded cheese. Cook on LOW until cheese is melted. Then I add a couple of tablespoons of cream cheese. Drain noodles and mix with cheese sauce. Put in a casserole dish. I mix bread crumbs or crused saltines with melted butter until lightly browned. Top noodles with crumb mixture. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes until heated through.
