why do I feel guilty?

I had my baby shower on Sunday, and all our family and friends brought gifts and food and games. For some reason, I feel guilty taking the gifts and I do not know why. Is this normal?

  • It is normal. I feel guilty accepting presents, it's just me. Enjoy your gifts, and your new baby!!

  • Yeah...hormones. Once the baby is born and you start seeing all the gift on or around the baby, it will remind you of all the people that love and care enough about you to participate. Relax...enjoy...pregnancy is one of the few times in life when we're allowed to act like brats and get spoiled.

  • If you really feel you have too much maybe you can donate dome to a woman's shelter.

  • Enjoy the new baby. The other mamas are right. Hormones will make you cry one minute, laugh the next sometimes.
