Cloth diapers for a needy family?

Does anyone know of any organizations that offer free or low cost cloth diapers to families in need? This is for a friend of mine who is due very soon and plans to cloth diaper but they are having financial difficulties. I know in the long run cloth diapers are cheaper but the start up costs can be expensive.

  • You can sometimes find them used on ebay or craigslist. Just make sure to wash good.

  • You can make them, cloth wipes AND covers. Lots of tutorials online. All you need is a machine, a tutorial and scrap cloth. Ps. Flannel and other thick fabrics work the best. Dont forget the snap buttons and velcro!
