raw meat during pregnancy?

Okay, well, it won't be raw, but I'm making something for dinner tonight called Shabu Shabu. It means swish swish, because you swish the meat in a tofu pot to cook it. It's beef broth with tofu, veggies, and the meat. I know it's not raw, but I'm overly paranoid about not cooking my meat long enough. lol.
Plus you're dipping raw meat into the pot and then eating it, and repeating.
Do you think I'm overthinking it?

  • I'd be WAY OVERTHINKING that issue!! E-coli, listeria, salmonella-- those come to my mind when I think about eating rare meat, not to mention how unsanitary it sounds to be dipping into a community pot with others, and repeating??? As in DOUBLE dipping and swapping spit? Sorry, does not sound appetizing to me---just the opposite!!
