Did you take typing classes in high school?

  • I took typing for 2 years, and office procedures, shorthand included as well. Computers were JUST arriving in the schools my graduating year~1983. Boy,do I feel old!

  • Yes - I took a year of typing as an elective. Twenty years later I can still type at 75 wpm.

  • Yes- most useful thing I ever learned! I still have a fast typing speed and am right now trying to cash in on it by getting a certificate in medical transcription.

  • Yes, but I didn't learn anything as I wasn't serious about it. I did take a typing class in college and had to have a fast speed because I went for medical transcription.

  • Yes I did. I took typing when I was in 9th grade on an actual TYPEWRITER!! Gosh I'm old!

  • Yes, I had to, but then I took the advanced course, which I didnt have to, but I did enjoy it, and honestly every job I have had since high school has commented on the my typing speed, so I can say it did no harm!
