When did you introduce table foods?

My son is 7 months. He eats yogurt everyday but that is it besides baby foods. When is the right time to start introducing foods and what did you 1st offer?

  • I would say whenever he seems ready. I think I did more around 10 months or so.

  • When he started trying to grab things off of our plates is when we introduced him to table foods. I think that was around 9 months or so.

  • I started offering small bits of the food off my plate at about 7-8 months. I started with soft, pea sized pieces of chicken breast, steamed veggies and pasta.

  • My DD is 7 months. She dosen't do well with purees, so I give her bits of food. She chews on toasted bagels, piece of fruits like peaches, apples, cantalope. I slightly smash peas between my fingers and give that to her. YOu just have to watch them, because if she bites off a big piece she can choke.
