  • take a test that is the only way to be sure the symptoms of pregnancy could also be a common cold, flu bug, or stress or you could be ovulating or your period could be on its way so testing is the only way to know for sure

  • Go a doctor for bloodwork, or take a test. If those don't work you'll know for sure in 9 months when you give birth to a baby and TLC wants you on that I didn't know I was pregnant show!

  • You can either go to the store and buy a home pregnancy test or go to a doctor and get a blood test.

  • Please refrain from calling these questions stupid, it is a question that is COMMONLY asked here on CM, and to reduce flooding of common questions, CM has set up an encyclopedia for people to refer to common questions. So respond respectfully or not at all.

  • The best ways to determine pregnancy are by taking a test. All pregnancy tests work by detecting a certain hormone in the urine or blood that is only there when a woman is pregnant. This hormone is called human chorionic gonadotropin or hCG. A urine test isn't always the best for testing for hCG and thus can show negative when you may actually be positive. So a blood test is really a better option. However if your test says positive, congratulations you are pregnant. A blood test is also needed by most doctors anyways to fully confirm pregnancy, so if you are pregnant it really saves time and money to just get the blood work done.

Without a test, the symptoms of pregnancy can also be the symptoms of other illnesses, so it's best either way to seek your doctor. Even if you aren't pregnant, you could have other complications that may need to be monitored or looked further into.
