  • not exactly sure what your asking. some people have little "quirks" when they lie. For example, they look down at the floor, they have an eye twitch, higher pitch in voice, etc. some people are better at hiding when they lie and you just pay ateention and evenutally you catch it.

  • Habitual liers are harder to catch unless they get cocky. Usually if they can't look at you or keep looking away. They have a hard time keeping their story straight or its so pat that you know its rehearsed. Are you talking about someone who's cheating on you? I think deep down we know somethings wrong or just doesn't add up. Take mental notes. ask them about it during a time to catch them off guard. Also, there maybe others who do know the truth. See if you can get someone else to tell whats really going on.If it happens a lot, You may need to sit down with them & find out why are they afraid to tell you the truth. What do they believe is going to happen. SHow them what the worst thing that can happen is.. Also, try to help them to start with one day going through it without telling a lie. See how they feel. Do they have trust issues? People lie because they can't deal with the actions of what they're doing or how u'll react.

  • depends on the person and their talent and experience with it.

People that have been doing the same story fro a long time, thru trial and error, will eventually mold it and learn exactly what they need to say and do to make their story believable to others eventually.

  • Like prayerpartner said, they tend not to look you in the eyes or quickly look and then look away. If you ask them an unexpected question, they hesitate (that's a dead giveaway). Also, they may get restless when answering questions. If they are telling a story, to much elaboration is also a good indicator.

  • I'm pretty good at detecting a lie, it's usually written all over the persons face!!

  • Most people have some kind of tell, whether it getting all flushed or not being able to look you in the eye, or a lot of fidgeting, but I think your intuition is pretty accurate. If you feel in your gut the someone is lying, then they probably are.
