How long does it take a newborn to feed? 30 minutes? An hour? Less?

My 3 week old daughter takes in total about 2 hours (sometimes more) to drink all her formula. How long should she be taking?

  • It completely depends on the child. As long as she's having enough diapers during the day then don't worry :)

  • I agree with the above 2 answers. My daughter started off at just over an hour. Gradually as she got used to eating and got a little older, she went to 30 minutes. Then finally 15. Now, she is a pro and is 10 minutes flat.
