What are good finger foods?

My son likes to feed himself, and doesn't like to be fed baby food from a spoon. What are some good finger foods you can think of?

  • cheerios, gerber puffs, baby goldfish, cut up pieces of fruit and vegetables, cooked pasta like elbow macaroni, rotini pasta or ziti pasta cut in halves.

  • Chicken nuggets are a big one in our house, at first we had to cut them into peices, but there are always others like goldfish, yogert bites, puffs, wal-mart brand of puffs are actually tasty. French fries, cut up banana's, and mango's if they are soft enough. Fish sticks, fruit snacks, but they are a choking hazard, as is anything though. Good luck!

  • Small cubes of fruit and veggies are the best. Babies under 1 year don't need that much "food" as it is just for fun and practice.
