  • It should always be thawed in the fridge. It usualy depends on the size of the turkey but it can take 3 days to a week. Our turkey is 23 pounds and it went into the fridge today!

  • Last year we left ours in the sink for about 24 hours and it was still a bit frozen on the inside. Leave it to my love to be a procrastinator. I have heard leave it in the fridge for something like 3 days I think.

  • I agree about 3 days....depending on the size could be more, but if the day before it's not entirely thawed, you can safely put it in a cold water bath in the sink or in a cooler, change the water every few hours, and put it in the fridge if it is thawed completely, or before you go to bed.

  • Fridge - no less than 3 days depending on size, maybe more. Now - in a pinch, you could thaw it in the sink in water. My SIL called me in a panic on Wednesday before thanksgiving one year...she hadn't put it out. Her kitchen sink was too small so it sat in her bath tub in water - frequently changed - for 24 hours! gotta do whatcha gotta go! :-)

  • Put it in the fridge to thaw. That morning if it isn't thawed completely, put it in cold water in your sink and change the water every 30 minutes until it's thawed. It shouldn't take more than a few water changes. Never leave it on the counter to thaw.
