How do I make sure round steak will be tender?

I am thinking of braising it in a skillet

  • Let it thaw and come to room temprature before cooking it. Add a little oil to the pan, but not much. Then cook it on low (3 temp) for a good 20 minutes. The natural juices will release from the meat, which will allow the meat to soak in them while cooking. Turning over 10 minutes in to allow even cooking. If you need to you can add a 1/4 of a cup of chicken stock to add more moisture to the pan and let the meat simmer. After 20 minutes turn up the heat to medium heat, to ensure the meat is cooked all the way through. Basting with the juices periodically while cooking.
