Do you use Sulfate-Free Shampoo?

Recently my SIL's raved about a sulfate-free shampoo they started using.
Out of curiousity, I bought it to try it out.

I'm wondering if anyone else has heard of it?
Do you like it?
Do you notice a difference in your hair?

If you haven't tried it, would you? Does the amount of sulfate bother you?

  • I've tried it. But then again, I've tried most of the shampoos out there. I've used No-Poo Deva Curl as well, but didn't like the cleanser feeling. Somehow I just love my lather. My favorites are Pureology, Redken and TIGI products.

  • I tried on in a lilac purple bottle and I do not see the difference at all.I love beauty supply shampoos. The ones from the regular just lather up too much and leave hair dried out from overstripping or just not clean enough....

  • Sulfate-free shampoos vary by brand. Some are not so great, but I've found a few that I like a lot. Mill Creek has some good ones, as does Aubrey Organics. Now I am using Mill Creek Biotin shampoo and conditioner. They work great, the shampoo lathers, and my hair has never had this much shine.

  • Yes, we use SLS-free shampoo here (Aubrey Organics brand). I personally notice that my color lasts longer though my main reason for switching (besides trying to go toxic-free in all our products) was because my daughter reacted to regular shampoos and soaps. Once we switched to chemical-free products, her eczema cleared up beautifully.
