Other than green bean casserole, what veggies do you serve on Thanksgiving?

And how do you prepare them? For example, steamed carrots, roasted brussels sprouts, etc?

  • Since we have Thanksgiving at my MIL's house (who cooks to feed an army) we have mashed potoates, sweet potatoes, corn, green beans (regular and casserole some years), salad and whatever other can she wants to open. For Christmas (at our house) I plan to roast some baby carrots, make homestyle green beans, and maybe a stuffed squash or sweet potatoes.

  • We will have corn pudding and sweet potato casserole, probably a broccoli casserole to go along with our green beans.

  • Sweet potatoes, corn, sometimes carrots. And our green beans are not in a casserole but are almondine.

  • I've never made green bean casserole. I just boil frozen bags of corn, broccoli and baby carrots. My family doesn't like veggies any other way. Roasted sweet potatoes too.

  • Corn, mashed potatoes, sweet potato souffle. I think those are the vegetables that we usually serve along with green bean casserole (which I detest).
