What is the best place to buy a plus sized semi-casual dress for a Christmas party?

:-/ NOT looking forward to going.. but I will put on a dress and a happy face and do it anyway.

I am a size 16-18 (down from 22!!).. but I am having a difficult time finding a dress that is flattering, comfortable and semi formal..

  • I just got an AWESOME dress at Ross. They had a huge selection of plus size dresses. I was so surprised. And it only cost me $20! Congrats on the weight loss! I'm in the process of selling all my old nicer dresses that are also size 22, down to an 18/20 myself!

  • Congrats on losing!

I've heard of ROSS also....I have a friend whom is 6 foot tall and she is always spending over $200 every time she goes there and got a real cute dress not long ago for a party she and her husband were attending. She wears a 14-16. It was a cute black dress with spaghetti straps and not quite an empire waist to it, shirts like that make her look preggo...not great at our ages of 48! LOL

I'd say check out Lane Bryant, Catherines online....

Be PROUD.......and enjoy the party best you can and SMILE! You are on your way!!!! HAVE FUN!
