  • YES. He was laid off the day we returned from our honeymoon, and he's been dealing with depression ever since. He has had 2 jobs since then, and was laid off from both. He's been staying home with our son while I go to school, which has been okay, but he has that "provider" mentality, so I know it's killing him.

  • Yeah.. He has his grumpy bunny moments. lol

This is what works for us. We talk about what is making him grumpy.

If it's something that we/he has any control over, we address the issue and come up with solution. Grumpy bunny usually disappears within moments of finding the solution.

If it is something we have no control over, and there is nothing we can do about it. He let's it go. No point in being a grump over something you have no control over.

If just talking it out doesn't work. He meditates for awhile. After meditation, he either has his own solution and is feeling better. Or he has an idea on what to discuss so that we come up with a solution together. And the grumpy bunny disappears once again.. lol

((This is how we handle it when either of us are being grumpy))
