Im confused. I had sex oct 9th so i'm sure that's when I got pregnant but they say im 7wks and 4 days pregnant.. How that was not 7 weeks ago? It was 5wks and four days ago. And thats probably why the father is having doubts...

  • The drs office calculates your pregnancy starting on the first day of your last period. That's why they are saying 7 wks and 4 days, although you ovulated somewhere in between your last period and when you should have had this one - they don't know the exact date of ovulation so they go by the last date of your cycle.

  • Pregnancy begins at the start or your cycle... which is typically 2 weeks before you ovulate... so you aren't actually pregnant for 2 weeks of your "pregnancy"... it's just the way they calculate it. You can give him the "gestational age" which will align closer to the date of conception.

  • Take your 7wks and 4 days and subtract 2 weeks.

  • You get the gestational age by subtracting the 2 weeks when you weren't really pregnant, just preparing your egg and womb.

  • cuz its counted from the day of your last period, not the day u had sex. the other one is fetal age

  • I'm sorry, that's switched. Fetal age is from conception (roughly) and gestational age is from the start of your cycle.
