  • (24-5) X 3 = 57

    24 cats- 5= 19 birds X 3 dogs = 57 dogs

    I'm a nerd.... this was fun for me- hopefully I'm right =)

  • D=3B (There are three times as many dogs as birds, so dogs = birdsx3)
    C=5 + B (there are 5 more cats than birds, so birds plus 5 = cats)
    There are 24 cats.
    24=5 + B, So B=19
    If B=19, then D=19x3, which is 57 dogs.

    How fun! I love math too!
