Anyone heard of this/had/have this and what to do for it? Diabetic neuropathy?

and if so what can be done for it? Thanks

  • Nerve damage. I have neuropathy from my incomplete spinal cord injury. I take Neurontin.

  • Yes I have heard of this. My friend Peggy is diabetic and has gotten relief from the neuropathy and been able to cut down on her insulin. You could talk to her if you want.

  • As far as I know it isn't reversible just manageable. Some of my patients I do tests on come in and have it. Sometimes it makes them a little unsteady on their feet and prone to wounds on their feet. So it is very important to check over the legs each and every day for cuts and scrapes. These can easily turn into something worse with a diabetic-such as an open infected wound.
