What is your typical "mommy phrase"?

What do you find yourself telling your kids over and over, besides "no" and " I Love you"?

I seem to ask, did you hear me
or I didn't ask what you were doing, what did I say do.

  • "STOP THROWING THINGS IN THE HOUSE"
    "Hannah quit screaming"
    "Hayden leave your sister alone"
"Are you new?" (<--sarcastically....they're not new and they know what does and doesn't fly in our house)

  • Well, it may not be the nicest, but all three of my kids know it's what I'm gonna say when they say "I want", I say "Well, people in hell want ice water, and they don't get it either." Usually shuts them up for awhile.

  • "No thank you" is one of my phrases too. They seem to respond better to it. I also use "because I said so" a lot and "absolutely NOT." I nanny part time, so these get used a lot. Especially since two of the kids are 5 year old and 4 year old boys. Add my 4 year old girl and their 2 year old sister to the mix, and they keep me on my toes most days!

  • In a minute was one I hated when I realized how often I said it.
