Do your kids drink energy drinks?

I do not allow my 13 year old and 11 year old to drink any type of energy drinks, and I do not allow their friends to bring them into my house either. I am positive my 13 year old has had some when he's not with me, because his friends drink them like water. But I warned him of the risks of energy drinks, and I told him I would even rather he just had a soda instead when his friends are having energy drinks. Because they can kill. Tomorrow, I am showing him the video I just watched with a doctor talking about how terrible energy drinks are for you. I will post the link below. Am I just paranoid not letting him drink them? What do your kids do?

  • Nope. They are BANNED from the school district we are in too. Those drinks can KILL kids. Their hearts can "explode" and they can bleed to death internally. That info was from my sons pediatrician. The local police department thinks it should be illegal to sell them to a minor.

To the mom that said her kid gets frappucino's-----BIG HUGE difference. Those don't have all kinds of other chemicals and such that can kill a person. It's not about just the caffeine in the energy drinks, it's the Gurana, Ginsing, etc.
