BBB on complaints/scams

OMG have you seen this crap!!! UGG you truly cant trust anyone! I used to search new companies for their rating but now....whats the point!!!

  • This is nothing new ... if you want a consumer watch dog organization to be true to the consumer, then membership aught to be paid for by individual consumers and NOT corporations. BBB has it backwards; Consumer Reports has it right.

  • I still plan to use them. Who knows? Maybe this article from 2005 is now wrong and they are properly practicing business? Who is to actually genuinely say they weren't all along and the news sation was just trying to start shit? You never know. Oh well.

  • This is nothing new. This is the way it has been run for many many years. Better Business Bureau is run by and for businesses. If a business doesn't pay dues, and other fees during the year, then when someone calls to ask about them, they say they don't belong and they don't have any information, in a tone of voice that makes it sound like the business doesn't come up to their standards, or they will say they had a bad report but no response from the business. It's all a crock. It really forces business to belong. In my area, belonging is a cost of doing business.
