Where would you want to be in a major earthquake?

I was sitting outside and just thinking about lifes events over the last couple of years and the weirdest question popped in my mind... If you were in an earthquake where would you most want to be? Where is the last place you would want to be? Just wondering because bad things have been happening so much.

I would want to be with my family in the middle of a field with nothing around, I think. I would NOT want to be in a parking garage or an elevator!

  • I'd want to be at home... My house was built in 1927, and has been through SEVERAL major earthquakes with no structural damage at all (we live in the SF Bay Area), so I know it's safe!

  • Can I be in another state far, far away???

Having been through several major earthquakes (Whittier Narrows EEP!), I'd rahter just NOT be there.
