    but grandmother thought kids would be mean and change it to latrine
    so changed to katrin (not same sound A or i as katrine)
    no body pronounces correctly, have been called kat since before i could speak

  • I was named after a Typhoon. Typhoon Amy. I was child number 4 and mom was pregnant with me in wyoming through the biggest blizzard Wyoming ever had and that year the coast had a typhoon they named Typhoon Amy. She figured all things added up it was bound to be fitting and I have more or less lived up to it.
