What are some side dishes for thanksgiving?

I am trying to come up with different side dishes for thanksgiving, i am hosting it this year.. and i want to do something different, they always do cornbread casserole, homemade stuffing, and string bean casserole. Thanks

  • Hashbrown casserole is my favorite. It's simple too. Diced potatoes, sour cream and/or cream of chicken, and shredded cheese. Mix together, throw it in a casserole dish, top with bread crumbs and bake. Yummm.

    There's also the bean casserole, broccoli & cheese casserole, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce. We also always do a platter with black & green olives, dill pickle spears, and sweet mini pickles. Great for snacking before dinner!

  • This is just what I am planning on having besides the meat,mashed potatoes,corn,toss salad,jello salad,sweet potato biscuits and someone above mentioned sweet potato casserole,(I love that stuff)I might add that to the menu.
