Do you have any traditions regarding your Christmas ornaments?

Each Christmas I buy a new ornament for my granddaughter. They're on her tree now, of course, but when she is older and has her own tree, all of ornaments from Nana will go with her!

  • We do something similar. My mom bought me at least one new ornament every year, from the time I was a baby on. (she still does) By the time I moved out on my own, I had enough ornaments for a full sized tree. I started the same tradition with my daughter, and will do the same with any other children I have.

  • We always hang the ornaments that my great-grandmother made first, and the glass ornaments with the names of my family painted on them last.

  • Not really. I let the boys hang the ornaments that they made, or that have their names on them. I may start buying an ornament a year, so when they get older they can have some ornaments of their own! That's a good idea!

  • Right now i just have ornaments on my tree that the grandkids like. Ornaments like SpongeBob, Superman, Spiderman, Toy Story, Scooby Doo, Dora, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph, High School Musical, Elmo, Monster Trucks, Ninja Turtles, things like that. When the Grandkids outgrow this stuff, i will probably store these ornaments up and keep them and get all new ornaments for my tree, maybe all Black Bears, or Christmas Story.

  • I don't really have any special way to put them on the tree, but my daughter always puts the angel on top with my husband's help.
