  • nope. she'll already have his last name. and she's not a son. she is your gender. actually i feel mothers who carry kids in their bodies liek i did for nine months, should ALWAYS get the first name -- cause the DAD gets the LAST name? helooo america lol

  • We chose our dd's first name together, he chose her middle name. I thought it was only fair since he missed the birth.

  • silverelf- I understand exactly what your saying, but I'm having such a hard time choosing a name that I think it would take a lot of pressure off of me if he did it. I know he won't pick a stupid name.

  • We named our children TOGETHER. We made them together, they carry as much of his DNA as mine, why shouldn't he get at least input into their names? If he suggested a name I liked as well, we would use it. With our last son we has narrowed it down to two names that he liked equally so I got the final say. But I don't think that giving either parent carte blanche to choose the name is a great idea. We both always had veto power over suggested names - why would I want to 'let' him choose a name I hated or vice versa?

  • I'm pregnant with a girl... And NO, he's not naming her. We've been trying to agree for months on a name, but EVERY single name he picks is HORRID... I agreed to let him give her his mother's name as a middle name (Alice) even though I can't stand it, but beyond that I have to agree - so far, it's a no go...

  • My husband did name my daughter. He had the name Cheyenne picked out since he was a teen and I thought it was really pretty. He wants to name our next daughter Harley if we have another one but I told him not on your life. lol
