  • Birth mother? As in you adopted these kids? IS this "Birth mother" you speak of your husband's Ex or some one unrelated?

  • So you mean the kids mother. A "Birth mother" is someone who gave up their child for adoption. Anyway, I suppose you dont have to do anything you dont want to do. But morally you probably should.

  • Depends on the court order. Is there any reason not to tell her? Is there a threat of her trying to kidnap the kids? Is she court ordered to pay a portion of the child care fees?

I think that unless there's a damned good reason not to tell her (serious threat of kidnap), then it's best to respond briefly with the information. "The kids go to XYZ Child Care on 123 Main St."

Remember, the courts LOVE to see custodial fathers (and the stepmoms who do 90% of the work!) working their asses off to coparent, whether the biomom gives a damn or not.

  • There is a threat of her kidnapping the kids and no we requested no child support to be taken. She doesn't pay for any thing.

And Anonymous ~ She is the birth mother and i am the step mother. Being a birth mom isnt just giving your child up for adoption.
