  • I think I spent about $50, possibly $100. Not too positive though. If I sat down and figured it out I'm thinking closer to $100 dollors and I still have a couple last minute things I need to grab, but not too much luckily :)

  • Just saw on TV the other day that the national average for Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people is just at $43 total! Seems kinda low unless you're able to get your turkey on sale... But we always do a pot-luck so no one gets stuck with spending the cash.

  • Ive been buying over the past two weeks. Everytime I go to the store I see something I will need and its usually up front displayed cause its on sale. Im down to still needing celery, onion, milk and rolls,,,lol. Probably about $60 so far, there is only 3 of us though

  • About $50 for a $20 pound turkey, and mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, broccoli casserole, bread and butter, cranberry sauce, apple pie, pumpkin pie.....everything has been on sale pretty cheap the last 2 weeks, so even though I'm making all of it, it's not that bad.

  • I'm heading out of town for Thanksgiving, so I'll offer to cook something. My sister is an excellent cook so I'm not sure how much of my help she'll need! Candied yams aren't too difficult, right??

  • I spent 30 today for 6 adults and 2 children. The store was having a HUGE sale so I went ahead and got everything.

    15.5 Pound Turkey - .58 a pound
3 can Campbells Cream Of Mushroom- .45 cents a can
2 cans Green Giant Green Beans- .45 cents a can
10 oz bag of frozen broccoli- .88 cents
5.5 pounds sweet potatoes- .15 cents a pound
    Rice- 1.28 a box
    Velvetta- 4.28 for a large block...came with a container too. :)
French Fried Onions- 2.48 for one can
    Cranberry Sauce (2 cans)- .88 a can
    1 pound Carrots (fresh) -1.12
    Marshmellows- .94 cents
    Flour- 1.26 for 2 pounds

I'm making turkey, broccoli rice cheese casserole, green bean casserole, sweet potatoe casserole, glazed carrots, and homemade rolls.

My mother in law got the stuffing, the deserts, and the stuff for mashed potatoes. If I'd had to get that it would have probably cost me 15 more dollars.
