  • It's from the movie Love Story. The main character told his dying wife he was sorry and she told him love means never having to say you are sorry. (The sorry is understood so not necessary to say it)

  • That they watched "Love Story" one too many times...and are perhaps trying to get out of an apology. .It made for a great romantic concept, but the reality is far from that. Love means you will never mind having to say you are sorry if you are in the wrong, or if you hurt the one you love.

  • It's wrong. Love is being man (or woman) enough to apologize, work it out, and move past something.

  • I think it means that true love means you know that the underlying motivation for a person's actions is love, that they really did not mean to hurt you, and you don't do something to hurt the other. It's kinda something to aspire to, like I hope to not make DH feel guilty because I know that hurts him, but I do it sometimes and I feel terribly, so I apologize and stay aware of it.
