  • We don't only watch kid's shows but they aren't allowed to watch everything I watch. We watch some sitcoms and animal planet shows together or the food channel (my 3 year old loves man vs food), but I don't let her watch other shows I like. I like some pretty grown up stuff like weeds and south park those are things I can't let a 3 year old watch.

  • Only if it's age appropriate. We throw them out of the room for Dexter and things of that nature. They can watch other shows with us though, like Survivor or Hell's Kitchen. Luckily most of our shows are after they go to bed so it's not really any issue.

  • I don't like my little ones to watch CSI and violent shows like that. But really, they don't want to either. They are happy with never changing the channel from Disney or Nick.

  • No. Some shows I just feel have to much violence or to graphic. They are usually in bed by the time I watch tv anyway.

  • Nope! My kiddos are only allowed to watch cartoons & kid movies. We only have one tv so if we want to watch something then we wait until they are in bed. Tv isn't important to us during the day when they are up and awake. If we have a movie night with the kids...we pick a movie they can watch. This is a big subject for me though. I do not like to hear when parents let their kids watch whatever. I think that you should protect your childs innocense as long as possible. And letting them watch whatever takes it away from them alot faster. They will learn stuff eventually but I think you should try to protect them as long as possible. That is my job.

  • Yes. Pretty much. I dont mind nudity.. but we try to stay away from sex scenes & if they happen i just distract her, or usually she isnt looking or luckily just not in the room. But we dont watch alot of movies like that personally so its not a big problem.

Violence depends.. shooting & fighting isnt a big deal, my dh plays alot of shooter games (call of duty) so dd sees that.. but when things get gory or disturbing we dont let her watch..

When i was growing up my parents let me watch anything. in elementary me & mom watched freddy Kruger alot. I could handle the scary stuff back then alot better than i do now! lol.. that is for sure! and nothing was ever censored on the tv, as an adult id just rather not see it all that much. so im kinda proof kids who watch violent/sex wont grow up to be horrible messed up people! ;-P
