  • YES! We have a lab chow with long hair, and he sheds so much I need to vacuum a couple of times a day. There is hair in EVERYTHING!! It's almost impossible to keep his black hair out of the laundry, and off the furniture even though he stays off of the furniture. . I like a clean home, and have never had a dog before....lucky for him, he's such a sweetheart that we all love him more than we hate the hair!!

  • Yes. We have 2 papillons who surprisingly do no shed all that much. But we also have a rottweiler who sheds like crazy. I vacuum daily and am constantly sweeping out the hardwood floors in our kitchen.

  • My lab sheds worse than my long haired cat. Brushing her twice a day doesn't help and I'm constantly cleaning up dog hair from the floor. Luckily she stays off the furniture.

  • Well, I have a zoo... 7 cats and 2 dogs. The dogs actually don't shed much, but the cats sure do. I vacuum every day, and I gave up on wearing black clothes a long time ago, heh.

  • this may help - grain free foods - supplements -

Proper feeding will help the skin and coat.

Also, a good brush with teeth can get the under coat: see here
