How to get a 4 year old to sleep alone?

He has his own room, but I had to put a third bed in my twins' room to keep him from climbing in bed with me every night. How do I get him to sleep in his own bed in his own room?

  • maybe he feels left out because they share a room and he doesn't?

  • This is why I never let my kidssleep/cosleep with me. What ever right. I enagine you will just have to inform him, big boys do not seep the their moms. And put him in his own bed.

  • He will sleep fine if he's in his brothers' room but not in his own.

  • Is it keeping him or his brothers awake when they sleep together? If it works for them, what's wrong withthem sleeping in the sme room? Kids get scared at night; most people don't like to sleep alone.

  • They tend to wake him up in the mornings when they get up for school. He would normally sleep later and not be as cranky if they didn't.

  • a gate would work, or just repeatedly putting him back in bed
