I'm interested in homeschooling my 12 yr old daughter.

I live in Massachusetts and need advice on where to begin and what to expect with homeschooling.

  • There are several good homeschooling groups on here. We homeschool, but each state has different laws about homeschooling. Where we live, it is very easy to get started. I just registered my "school" as a private school with 1 student. We use the MFW curriculum, and we really like it.

This looks like a good place to start.  We are in Oklahoma so I'm not sure about your state laws.  You could also check out yahoo groups and see if there are any for homeschoolers in your area.  I found one pretty close and it's great to have people who have been doing it awhile for mentors. • First things first, you need to read the laws. http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp?State=MA
Then join a homeschool group. http://www.cafemom.com/group/699 is a good one.
They will answer any other questions you may have.
