Teaching our children about relationships

Do you think we should give our teachers/schools the authority to teach our children about relationships? (Plz keep it clean. tk you)

  • I assume you mean romantic relationships? Because if you mean relationships in general, they have no choice, there are relationships going on all day long at school. As far as romantic relationships, marriage, etc., yes, to some degree. They can help kids to learn how to discuss finances, fight fair, and plan together for a future, how to discuss important issues like how many kids they want, what forms of discipline they believe in, what their dreams and goals are..... parents should be teaching those things at home, but yes, I do think schools can teach much of that as well.

  • I believe if it is structured, schools can be one of many avenues to teaching relationships. School is a social experience and many things happen at school. At times, teachers are the ones to contact parents on issues because they are the first to observe them. How deep the teachings go on relationships should be grade/age appropriate though.
