why not get points for closing a question by selecting a best answer??

you get credits for everything else
why not points for selecting best answer, would help keep the Q and A more recent/current

is there a reason not to award points for this?
i do not care, i may select more BA, and clean up my questions asked
maybe i would still wait for a rainy day to go back to some of mine that i never picked?
