  • comfy cloths for you to come home in, cloths for baby, your tooth brush, comb, deoderant, shower stuff, book if you would like to read, pads you feel comfortable with using (the hospital usually gives you some but they are not comfy at all! Basically everything you may need for an over night.

  • Your own PJ's. two piece with a button top if you plan to breast feed. Your own Panties a size bigger then you normally were for comfort. Yours and the babies going home outfits. 1-2 pairs of PJ's for the baby. Socks for you. Your shampoo, tooth paste and toothbrush. Deodorant. Snacks for DH during labor and for you between meals after the birth. Leave some extra outfits for you and baby at home laid out for DH to find if you need them. Don't worry about pads or Diapers the hospital will provide those. Don't worry about bringing you nursing pillow they will have 8 million pillows for you to use there. Pack your own pacifier if you have a preferance same with bottles if you are bottle feeding. Pack your preference if you have one.

  • Bring an outfit for the baby to gome home in and take pictures in. If you plan to breastfeed, pack some maternity bras. No perfume or perfumy lotion because it irritates baby. I learned with my first child not to bring anything that you don't want messed up because it is a messy few days. They give you those mesh panties to wear with the gigantic pads. You can bring panties, but make sure that they are comfy and you don't mind tossing after your stay because they will probably be soiled ( bloody). Bring your own maxi pads! I hated those hospital issued ones. They were like from the 1800's! They were huge!

  • i brought my pillow. an outfit for baby. blanket for baby. clothes to wear when you leave the hospital. A diaper bag to put the gifts in.

The hospital provides diapers and mostly everything you need for baby. They give you a free pack of diapers and formula.
