Foolproof maternity Holiday outfit?

I'm on a budget & have no maternity clothes yet...but most def. need some
I need a versatile outfit that can function as somewhat "dressy" as well during the holidays.
Any ideas ?

- note: I'm not big on dresses, but I like the idea of a dress w/ leggings underneath.

  • Maybe a cute form fitting tunic with some leggings would be cute. I used to get alot of my maternity stuff at A Pea in the Pod and Mimi Maternity.

  • Wear a tunic top (doesn't have to be maternity) that has some embellishments on it and some cute leggings with ballet flats. It's nice, versatile and comfy.

  • i personally almost never wear dresses myself...if it were me, i'd get a nice black sweater and some nice jeans. you can pair it with some cute holiday jewlery and some cute shoes of your choice....its flattering AND its stuff you'll wear a million times over, not JUST the holidays.

  • I've gotten most of my maternity clothes from thrift stores. I have gotten some really nice things, and even a Christmas dressy pants outfit.

  • Buy black. The cheaper the material, the darker the color, so it doesn't show. I would just buy more shoes and jewelry, which change the look AND they will last after pregnancy. You realy don't like wearing dresses? I got thru both of my pregnancies via a few dark color dresses (form fitting, just below knee) from Target, each costing no more than $25 (working full time). Even though I got many pair of pants, cheap and expensive, none were as comfortable as wearing dresses. Congrats on your pregnancy!

  • I loved a silky blouse and black pants

  • Well take something you love say red or purple and wear it as a very nice dressy or classy shirt then add a load of pearls or some fancy necklace. You can get cheap ones at clairs or forever 21. Put something fun in your hair too. Fun and festive.

  • Not a big fan of dresses but I think hat they look gorgeous on pregnant women! I would get a tunic & a couple pairs of leggings because they are cheap & can make the outfit loo different. Along with great jewelery (walmart, forever 21, Charlotte Rusee) has jewelery, leggings, all for cheap. Also, check out cute shirts at these stores that are large & XL. If you are wearing leggings then a bigger shirt that is longer maybe just what you need. plus, these sizes are usually on clearance! Good luck :) :)

  • Another thing too is to find clearance clothes in your size. Buy them even if they aren't cute. You can always glue on gems & other cute would prob spend $5 on materials & you got a not so great shirt & made it fab!
