  • I think every child is different and you need to be watching for sighns your little one is ready. my first son was potty trained just after he turned 2. My now 19month old is already showing sighns of being ready to he tells you when he pees and poops his pants he will sit on the potty he just hasnt actually went yet. every kid is different my newphews were closer to 3. my friends daughter is 3 and still not potty trained.

  • that is a hard question...I would say by 2.5 since my kids were young. My first was 19 months when she was fully potty trained. My youngest was almost 16 months, but got sick so delade it until she was 21 or 22 months old. My nephew is almost a and a half and shows no signs. My DH's cousin however she wasn't potty trained until she was almost 5.

  • I would say usually by around 3, but I have a friend who was having so much trouble her son still wasn't potty trained at 4 (he is 4 1/2 now and I don't know whether he is potty trained finally or not). Is that her fault? Is it her kid's fault? She feels terrible and is frustrated beyond belief so I'm not going to judge her and say her kid should have been potty trained at 2 1/2. He will eventually use the toilet.

  • Every child is different. I know kids that were potty trained when they were 1, some when they were 3 and some when they were 4! My daughter is 2 and she still isn't potty trained. I'd love for her to be potty trained by the time she's 3, but I'm not going to force her to do something that she's not ready for.
