What popular "children's" show(s) do you find appalling for young viewers?

Are there any shows on daytime children's channels that you just can't stand to have on in your home?

For example, Nickelodean's show, i-carly is on the banned list at my house. I have ages 5 and 9. I am appalled by the behavior and language on that show, yet it is marketed to young children.

  • My boys are 4 and 5. SO they watch developmentally appropriate shows. Right now they are very into The Magic School Bus, and just about any of the shows on Nick Jr.

  • My dd4 wanted to see Little Mermaid but I decided against it. She disobeys the entire movie. She likes Pocohontas & SLeeping Beauty. SOrry, we don't watch much tv though.

  • I don't care for Spongebob, Phineas & Ferb, nor Rugrats if that's even still in production.

  • txdaniella...Pocahontas does the same thing...disobeys when her father tells her not to leave because the white men are bad and leaves anyway to go see the white men...

I despise SpongeBob. I don't like it personally, and I certainly don't consider it a kid's show. But we only have broadcast TV, so we only have PBS, anyway. Some of those are really annoying, but I wouldn't call them inappropriate.

  • My son has ADHD, so it's a miracle if he sits and watches a show. He still likes The Wiggles (I'm pretty sure it's because he can bounce around with them). We don't really watch much TV though.
