Moms in college: What is the minimum number of credits you can take to be considered full time? How about the maximum (without permission)?

At our CC, 12 is the minimum and 18 is the maximum, without special permission to take more.

  • Until you have a certain number of units under your belt (I don't remember how many), you have to get permission to take more than 12 units. 12 is considered full time. I know the amount of units you may take varies by where you are, but I believe 12 is full time everywhere, at least by semester hours.

  • 12 is minimum for full-time....

I have no idea for maximum...I only did one semester of more than full-time which I think was 18 credits (4 classes at school and 2 online) but I didn't need permission for that. I only needed permission because I was taking Accounting 2 and 3 during the same semester.

    This is in northwest Florida...

  • 12 is minimum.
    No clue on Max

I think it's great that I can take 3 credits during Intersession and 9 during Spring and be considered full time.

  • Right now my minimum for full time is 9 credits and I think I need special permission to take 15 or more. Then again I am working on my graduate degree instead of an undergraduate degree.
