Can I use a used breast pump?

I had received a free pump from the hospital but I've only been using it for a few days and it's already starting to work very poorly. My maternity pay hasn't kicked in yet so I'm flat broke to rent or buy a pump. I was going to do a post on craigslist in hopes some one would donate or loan one to me until I get my check, but my husband said he didn't think it could be easily sterilized.

  • NO the bacteria get s into the gears and can pass to your baby, They said the only safe used pumps were from the hospital cause they were made to get passed around, I read that in American baby, this months issue.
