What is your strategy to deal with stress?

I shop. Bought my daughter incredibly beautiful dress and nightgown. I eat. Went to a new cafe and tried Persian food. I walk near the ocean- but this two days were rainy. I drink wine- probably should have done this too. I talk with the friends, but this one actually seem to help less.

So what d o you do?

  • Wow that sounds amazing. I usually go buy something too, I go to my favorite resteraunt and pick up some take out. I'll go home and watch a really good movie or even go out to a movie. Also I find that I clean up when I'm stresses. I wish I had a beach to walk on. I usually call my sister and vent.

  • I talk on the phone with my best friend who will ALWAYS crack me up. Laughter is the best the medicine. I also shop, drink wine occasionally and I have about 5 1/2 Xanax's left from my doctor that I'm just happy to have. I don't take them anymore, but they are there if I want them.

  • Talk on the phone, go to the thrift stores, go to lunch with a friend, pray, read, and sometimes crying helps!

  • Sometimes I window shop, sometimes I go for a walk, take a bath and read and turn on some music to drown out outside noises, play a video game, web surf

  • Well, crying is good too, but this one is hard for me. I can slide to feel worse if I cry. But talking on the phone could help.

  • I just feel that what my friends suggesting- meditating and staff does not really work. Bath- is an interesting idea. Massage and haircut. What does it mean window shop?

  • I used to work out, but don't really have the time. I think the wine drinking is actually a good one, but sometimes it can make you sad too! lol! I usually put my kids in the car and we go to the park, bike ride, and go hiking.

  • First off, prevention, I eat healthy every day, get enough sleep and drink enough water every day. So when something stressful comes up it doesn't take it's toll on my health.
    When I do feel stressed, I spend time with my kids, take a walk, sit down and watch a movie or read a book.
