If you found out that God was actually Goddess, who you treat her the same?

  • If God turns out to be a Goddess, then my love, respect, faith & devotion would be equal to what it was when I thought She was a He. I would say, "Well, what a pleasant surprise- & forgive me my trespasses in all my mislabled prayers." :)

  • I may call God "He" while talking about "Him", but its just a term of reference. I'm not sure I believe "He" is male, or even that "He" has a gender at all... So if "He" ends up being "She", it won't make any difference to me. :)

  • Are we talking about the Christian God? "He" is supposed to be genderless.

  • Yes, I would treat her the same. I don't assign gender to God I think of him as a spirit. I use the pronoun "he" for ease of communication

  • Wouldn't change much for me, in fact, I used to believe there was both a God AND a Goddess as a teenager and young adult, but now I believe in a more pantheistic idea of God if there is one. Obviously I don't know anymore than anyone else does, but if I found something like that was a fact, I would be accepting of it since it's something I used to believe anyway.

  • God could be a woman. None of have ever seen God in person, how do we know? Anyway, I don't think it matters. If you believe, you believe, right?
